The Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA) offers the Career Bridge Research Grant to support one mid-career clinician scientist conducting an innovative study in pediatric dermatology. The grant provides protected research time and resources at a career stage when institutional start-up funds, career development awards, or small pilot grants may no longer sustain research activity.
The program responds to the substantial burden childhood skin diseases place on patients, families, and health care providers, alongside limited effective treatments and slow research progress. It aims to sustain investigators’ long-term research careers. Priority consideration goes to applicants collaborating with senior mentors, projects addressing high-priority patient-centered research questions, and work aligned with PeDRA’s Focused Study Groups.
