Description
This award, offered by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Foundation, funds quantitative pathology research focused on optimizing and validating HER2 immunohistochemistry (IHC) assays for solid tumors other than breast and gastric cancers. The grant is designed to address the lack of standardized HER2 testing protocols in these other tumor types, supporting early-career pathologists as they generate evidence to improve patient selection for anti-HER2 antibody-drug conjugate therapies. Priority research areas include colorectal cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and non-small cell lung cancer, but proposals in other solid tumor types are also considered.
