Description
Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, offers Career Development Award Special Competitions to clinical investigators who have received their initial faculty appointment and are establishing independent clinical cancer research programs. These mentored awards support patient-oriented clinical research and/or translational research involving human subjects. Projects predominantly focused on in vitro or animal studies are not permitted, even when clinically relevant.
Dedicated funding for 2027 includes ovarian cancer and cancer prevention. The ovarian cancer competition supports hypothesis-driven research, including epidemiologic and behavioral studies, quality-of-care research, outcomes research, and health services research. Projects must reflect patient needs, have measurable outcomes, and be feasible within three years. An independent Grants Selection Committee evaluates proposals; donor-specific funding is matched only to applications approved through that review.
