The Career Development Award Special Competitions, funded by Conquer Cancer – the ASCO Foundation, is designed to support early-career clinical investigators who have received their initial faculty appointment and are working to establish an independent clinical cancer research program. This mentored award is intended for researchers conducting patient-oriented studies, including clinical and/or translational research involving human subjects. Projects focused primarily on in vitro or animal studies are not eligible. Proposals from all areas of cancer research are welcome, with specific competitions sometimes dedicated to particular cancer types (e.g., ovarian cancer, triple negative breast cancer).
