The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation’s Career Development Awards (CDA) are designed to support early-career investigators transitioning toward independent research careers in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The program provides structured mentorship, a comprehensive training plan, and funding for up to three years. Awardees may also gain access to IBD Plexus—a large, integrated resource of clinical data, biosamples, and research-ready datasets—at no cost to enhance their research. Proposals must focus on IBD, include a detailed career development plan, and demonstrate how the award will facilitate the applicant’s path to research independence.
