Description
The Career Development Bridge Funding Award: K Supplement provides up to two years of additional research funding for junior investigators currently supported by NIH or VA career development (K series, VA CDA, or equivalent) awards. The goal is to enable early career researchers in rheumatology to broaden their research programs, accelerate their path to research independence, and support their transition to independent funding (such as NIH R01 or VA Research Career Scientist awards). Funding is intended for essential research costs not covered by the primary career development award, such as laboratory supplies or research staff, but cannot be used for the investigator's salary or institutional indirect costs.
