The Burroughs Wellcome Fund's Career Guidance for Trainees program offers a competitive opportunity for early career administrators whose work is focused on the career development of PhD scientists. Selected participants attend a three-day workshop (May 19–21, 2026) designed to strengthen their research evaluation skills and support the creation of innovative, career-focused interventions or activities for use at their home institutions. Following the workshop, each participant will implement their proposed project with support from a $15,000 grant, develop research and evaluation networks, present results at a national meeting, and prepare a manuscript for publication. The goal is to enhance career readiness among graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the sciences.
