Career Opportunity Grants support Oregon arts practitioners with time-limited exhibitions, performances, screenings, and skill-building opportunities to reach new audiences and advance their careers.

Funding Amounts: $500–$2,000; up to $9,000 additional funding for eligible established visual artists, visual arts writers, and curators

Description
The Oregon Arts Commission, through Business Oregon, supports Oregon arts practitioners across all disciplines and career stages through Career Opportunity Grants. The program helps cover costs that an opportunity’s stipend or payment may not fully meet, enabling artists to participate in concrete, timely activities with significant potential to advance their careers.
Supported opportunities introduce work to new audiences through exhibitions, performances, or screenings, or develop artistic skills through conferences, residencies, workshops, fellowships, master classes, and apprenticeships. Opportunities must be unique, limited in duration, and a meaningful next step in the applicant’s career. Artists from traditionally or currently underserved communities, including rural communities and communities of color, are especially encouraged to apply.
