Description
The William Penn Foundation’s Children and Families program supports coordinated services that strengthen young children’s development and caregiver well-being in Philadelphia. This opportunity prioritizes direct services combining early learning with intentionally designed caregiver supports. Its two-generation approach recognizes that gains for caregivers and children reinforce one another, helping build parental capacity, resilience, and family well-being.
Funded work can include parent education, interactive intergenerational learning, caregiver peer support, and resources or referrals. Programs must maintain ongoing connections with families and articulate outcomes for both generations, even when activities serve adults only. The opportunity advances the Foundation’s objective of funding caregiver supports and early learning opportunities for 15,000 pregnant and parenting families by 2035.
