Description
The Caregivers ACT Attendance Travel Grant is offered by the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP), Division 2 of the American Psychological Association. It helps alleviate the financial burden of caregiving so members can attend STP’s in-person Annual Conference on Teaching (ACT). The program supports members who provide care to others as well as members who need caregiving support themselves.
Caregiving is broadly defined to include support for children, elders, and people with disabilities. Funding focuses on the costs of a care provider, including travel, accommodations, and care delivered at the conference or at home. Consistent with STP’s mission and statement on addressing systemic racism and inequity, the society encourages applications from members from underrepresented groups and those with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
