    Description

CARES Foundation supports scholars undertaking research on congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) that will improve quality of life, improve current treatments and protocols, and ultimately lead to a cure. Founded in 2000, the foundation advances quality health care through advocacy, research, education and support, and has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars toward CAH research.

Support can include direct funding, participant recruitment, and assistance with study support and launch through the foundation’s constituency and CARES-approved Comprehensive Care Centers. CARES also shares ongoing study information with the CAH community. Its Board determines the level of participation for each request, with clear community benefit central to its decisions. Direct funding and active recruitment depend on the Board finding considerable interest for a broad segment of the CARES constituency.
