The George A. Miller Visiting Professors & Scholars program, administered by the Center for Advanced Study at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, provides partial funding to bring individuals of outstanding achievement in academic or public life for residencies ranging from 5 business days to an entire academic year. Visitors may teach special courses or seminars, engage in research, collaborate with faculty and students, and participate in interdisciplinary events. The program aims to enrich the intellectual life of the campus and foster cross-disciplinary exchange. Regular faculty duties are not expected of visitors, and they should not be assigned to teach regularly scheduled courses or fill in for faculty on leave.
