Funding Amounts: Partial funding for residencies of at least 5 business days, up to an academic year; substantial host-unit contribution expected

Description
The George A. Miller Visiting Professors & Scholars program brings people of outstanding achievement in academic or public life to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Administered by the Center for Advanced Study (CAS), with applications considered by the George A. Miller Programs Committee, it provides partial funding for visiting appointments that enrich campus intellectual and creative life.
Visitors may teach a special course or seminar, pursue ongoing or self-initiated research, interact informally with students and faculty, or participate in interdisciplinary seminars arranged by their hosts. They are also invited to join the CAS community’s activities and may be invited to present in the CAS/MillerComm public events series. Proposals crossing disciplinary lines are strongly encouraged.
