Description
The CAS/MillerComm Public Events Series provides partial funding to bring distinguished visiting speakers or performers to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The program is designed to enrich the university’s intellectual and cultural life by hosting public, cross-disciplinary events that foster interaction between the guests and the campus community, with a strong emphasis on student engagement. All events are free and open to the public. Proposals are evaluated for quality, uniqueness, breadth of appeal, and the ability to engage an interdisciplinary audience. Collaboration across campus units through cosponsorship is encouraged to ensure broad campus involvement.
