Description
The University of Arizona’s Office of Research and Partnerships (ORP) runs this program with support from TRIF Initiatives to acquire equipment or other resources for multiple investigators. It supports new infrastructure, expansion of existing capabilities, and well-justified infrastructure refreshes, including replacement of critical components to prevent loss of current capability. Purchases must build or renew research capacity that improves competitiveness for clearly identified new extramural funding opportunities.
The program funds cross-cutting research, with priority for concepts aligned with institutional strategic research priorities and TRIF Initiatives. Its broad areas encompass STEMM and non-STEMM disciplines. Preference goes to resources serving multiple departments and colleges, particularly those housed in ORP Core Facilities. Concepts outside the named strategic priorities or TRIF Initiatives may still be submitted.
