Description
The University of Arizona Office of Research & Partnerships (ORP) supports gatherings that bring experts and collaborators together to discuss recent research or education findings. Catalyst Research Planning and Implementation Grants fund workshops, conferences, and symposia that advance long-term planning for interdisciplinary, team science programs and enable high-quality proposals to external sponsors.
ORP particularly welcomes activities advancing the university’s Strategic Imperatives and Strategic Research Initiatives. Priorities span space and national security, fusion energy, AI-driven health innovation, sustainable mining and critical minerals, and arid lands agriculture and water. These areas invite collaboration among scientists, engineers, social scientists, humanists, and arts scholars. Funding is supported by Technology and Research Initiative Fund (TRIF) initiatives, and shared support from partner institutions is encouraged. Concepts outside the strategic priorities may also be submitted.
