The Catholic Biblical Association of America (CBA) offers Travel Grants to help members attend and participate in its Annual General Meeting (AGM). Established in 2019 for early career scholars and expanded in 2025, the program supports meeting-related expenses rather than a separate research project. Supported costs include transportation, registration, room and board.
The CBA Committee on Professional Development Support assesses applications on merit in relation to AGM participation. Participation may include a Research Report, Continuing Seminar, Task Force, or Committee Meeting. The program also accommodates international scholars: the CBA Office can provide a letter supporting a visa application, and recipients unable to obtain a visa may use awarded funds for virtual registration.
