Description
The California Breast Cancer Research Program (CBCRP) supports gatherings that inform, stimulate ideas, and foster research specific to breast cancer. Standard Conference Awards support applicants able to host an event, while Community-Led Conference Awards help grassroots organizations needing additional time, resources, or planning feedback. Events may be in person, virtual, or hybrid, including symposia, webinars with targeted breakout sessions, retreats, and roundtable discussions.
Events must address one or more program goals: highlighting California resources, encouraging collaborations, recruiting researchers, addressing disparities and inequities, inspiring paradigm-shifting research, informing policy, advancing translational or outcome-driven research, or creating public education tools. Funding preference favors gatherings that connect people with different perspectives who rarely exchange views and that are likely to generate new research projects and collaborations.
