Description
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Community Revitalization Program is administered by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to fund projects that address critical infrastructure, public facilities, and neighborhood improvement needs in Illinois. The program aims to foster sustainable growth, enhance quality of life, and support resilient, vibrant communities, particularly in non-metropolitan areas. Eligible activities include sidewalk and streetscape improvements, demolition of blighted structures, rehabilitation of publicly owned commercial/industrial property, non-residential historic preservation, and renovation or conversion of closed buildings.
