Description
Economic Development Infrastructure Financing (EDIF) is part of Oklahoma’s Community Development Block Grant program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. Eligible local governments apply on behalf of private businesses for public infrastructure improvements that will enable job creation. The program connects infrastructure investment with economic opportunity principally for people with low and moderate incomes.
EDIF targets expansion by existing Oklahoma companies and industries such as renewable energy, agribusiness, aerospace, defense, and other advanced manufacturing. Eligible work can include acquiring, constructing, installing, reconstructing, or rehabilitating public facilities and industrial property, as well as publicly owned fiber-optic lines. The applicant must own, maintain, and operate the funded improvements.
