Description
The Missouri Department of Economic Development’s CDBG Industrial Infrastructure Grant Program helps Missouri communities develop public infrastructure supporting private-sector industrial projects. It funds public streets, water or sewer lines, engineering, and other necessary public facilities that enable industries to locate new facilities, expand existing operations, prevent facility closures, or avoid relocation outside Missouri.
The program focuses on publicly owned infrastructure with the potential to benefit more than one business, rather than company-owned facilities. Its priorities include for-profit manufacturing, processing, and assembly companies offering wages above the county average and medical benefits. Job creation for low-to-moderate-income residents is a central requirement, connecting industrial development with employment opportunities for these residents.
