Description
The Oklahoma Department of Commerce administers CDBG Small Cities with funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The program supports eligible Oklahoma communities undertaking infrastructure and other community improvements. Its goals include decent housing, suitable living environments, expanded economic opportunity, and improvements that principally benefit people with low and moderate incomes.
Eligible activities include water and wastewater improvements, fire protection, streets, senior citizen centers, gas and electrical improvements, removal of architectural barriers, and stormwater drainage improvements. A community may propose up to three activities in one application: no more than one construction activity, with the remaining activities being eligible services.
