Description
The CEIRR Pilot Research Program is designed to foster collaboration between external investigators and CEIRR Centers, advancing research aligned with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Universal Influenza Strategic Plan. The program targets innovative research concepts that address key gaps in influenza science, focusing on pandemic preparedness, viral evolution, immunological responses, human-animal interface, and transmission dynamics. Projects should align with the research priorities of the CEIRR Centers and contribute to decreasing influenza-related morbidity and mortality through enhanced understanding of infection, immunity, and viral emergence.
