The Celiac Disease Foundation offers these pilot grants jointly with the NASPGHAN Foundation for Children’s Health and Nutrition. The program supports innovative research or education projects in North America addressing critical issues in celiac disease and gluten-free diet management. Investigators at all career stages are encouraged to explore new research areas that could improve diagnosis and treatment or develop tools and technologies for disease management.
Priorities also include understanding and improving gluten-free diet adherence and advancing nutrition care for children with celiac disease and their families. Scientific strength and innovation are central to selection. Projects should generate pilot data that extend the investigator’s work and support an application for additional funding from another agency.
