Summary: Supports the data infrastructure, integration, public atlases, and consortium coordination underpinning Stage 2 of NIH’s Cellular Senescence Network.
Key Information: Every application must include a complete SenNet Organization and Outreach Component proposal; clinical trials are not allowed.
The NIH Common Fund’s Cellular Senescence Network (SenNet) seeks a Data Coordination and Integration Center (DCIC) to serve as the data and informatics backbone of Stage 2. Administered by the National Institute on Aging, this UM1 cooperative agreement supports consortium-wide data submission, harmonization, quality control, integration, and dissemination.
The center will maintain access to Stage 1 resources, integrate healthy- and diseased-tissue datasets, and develop searchable Senescence Atlases with 2D/3D spatial maps. Priorities include FAIR assay standards, experimental provenance, public portal infrastructure, analytical tools, and community usability. The work requires expertise in senescence biology, preclinical validation, and high-throughput spatial assays, alongside close collaboration with Discovery and Validation Centers and Senescence Technology Projects. Applicants must also propose consortium-wide organizational, educational, and outreach activities.
