Description
The Alzheimer’s Association Center for Dementia Respite Innovation (CDRI) provides competitive grants to local and community-based organizations to develop and expand innovative, person-centered respite care for people living with dementia and their caregivers. The program aims to increase the availability, accessibility, and quality of dementia-specific respite services, particularly in communities at higher risk. In addition to funding, grantees receive training, technical assistance, and participate in a national learning network to share best practices and drive policy improvements.
Projects may include new service models, enhancements to existing programs, staff training, and novel approaches to outreach, engagement, and sustainability. All funded activities must demonstrate a commitment to measurable outcomes, collaboration, and culturally competent care.
