Ohio State University’s Global Arts + Humanities (GAH), through its Cross-Disciplinary Research Exchange, supports centers and institutes in collaborations that foreground humanistic methods and practices to address critical societal challenges. The program funds individual-center projects, collaborations among centers, and short-term summer institutes or programs focused on research, teaching and community engagement.
Priority goes to new and ongoing projects that establish sustainable programmatic or curricular connections across education, outreach and research. Activities may include student programs, lectures, conferences, working groups, experiential teaching, student research and public-facing documentation. The program emphasizes meaningful student involvement, diverse perspectives and audiences, sustainable campus or community partnerships, and documentable evidence of transformative cross-disciplinary educational outcomes.
