Description
This program funds Centres for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences, designed to bring together outstanding researchers at a single location to collaboratively pursue broadly defined research topics. The centres provide a flexible framework for integrating diverse research concepts and encourage the exploration of open-ended or novel questions. Each centre typically consists of 2–3 responsible researchers conducting intensive, independent research, and operates a fellows program that hosts visiting researchers from Germany and abroad for stays of up to two years. Thematic orientation is open and does not require interdisciplinary approaches.
