Description
This funding opportunity supports the creation of up to four Centres of Excellence for Regulatory Science and Innovation (CERSIs) across the UK. Each centre will deliver a sustained, multidisciplinary research programme addressing strategic regulatory science challenges in healthcare, such as data-driven approaches, prevention and early detection, personalised healthcare, and novel platform technologies. The initiative is designed to build national capability, foster collaboration among academia, regulators, industry, healthcare providers, and public partners, and translate research into regulatory policy and practice to ensure safe, effective, and timely patient access to healthcare innovation.
