Summary: Yearlong, mentored fellowship for family medicine faculty to develop scholarly leadership through hands-on roles with the CERA Steering Committee.
Key Information: Application is projected to open annually; preference for early-career faculty (first 5 years).
The fellowship provides one family medicine faculty member a yearlong, part-time experience with the CERA Steering Committee. The program is designed to foster future scholarly leaders in the specialty by offering mentorship, training in survey methodology, opportunities to author presentations and publications using CERA data, and experience mentoring other faculty in research proposal writing and methodology. Fellows participate in committee meetings, mentor research groups, score proposals and papers, and are required to submit at least one proposal for CERA surveys. The fellowship term runs from May to May, coinciding with the STFM Annual Spring Conference.
