Description
The CERN Research Fellowship Programme is part of CERN’s broader Graduate Programme for recent PhD graduates in physics and engineering. Fellows define research projects, collaborate with leading experts and contribute to scientific discoveries while developing their expertise and international recognition. The programme combines research collaboration, on-the-job learning and formal training in an international scientific environment.
Research opportunities span theoretical, experimental and applied physics; chemical, materials and process engineering; electrical and electronics engineering; and information technologies. Work includes developing particle detectors, designing experiments, analysing data and translating theoretical concepts into testable predictions. Engineering and computing research supports advanced materials, electrical systems, precision electronics, particle beams and accelerator controls. Individual vacancies have distinct research responsibilities and recruitment processes.
