Description
The Vermont Department of Labor funds organizations to design, expand, or deliver Certified Pre-Apprenticeship Programs that prepare Vermonters for Registered Apprenticeship and employment in high-demand occupations. Programs should combine occupational instruction, workplace readiness, hands-on and work-based learning, career development, and support that helps participants complete training and move into apprenticeship.
The grant aims to widen access to career pathways while meeting employers’ regional workforce needs. Priority sectors are manufacturing, health care and human services, information technology, hospitality and tourism, and construction. Programs for other occupations with an existing or forthcoming Vermont Registered Apprenticeship Program may also apply.
