Description
The Community Foundation of Henderson County administers donor-funded scholarships for traditional and non-traditional students pursuing higher education. Established in 1984, the program has provided more than $10 million to over 2,000 students. A single general application matches applicants with scholarships whose individual criteria they meet.
Funds support a range of educational paths, including college, university, vocational, technical, and trade programs. Individual scholarships may focus on particular schools, family connections, financial need, academic achievement, or career interests. A separate William L. Arbuckle Memorial Scholarship application supports fisheries, aquaculture, freshwater biology, and related studies, with a preference for work connected to freshwater fisheries or native trout.
