--- ## Description The Chair’s Memorial Scholarship, established by the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) Executive Committee, honors former Chairs of CCCC who have passed away. The scholarship provides financial support to four graduate students whose presentations have been accepted for the CCCC annual conference. Recipients are selected based on their proposals' merit, innovation, methodological relevance, and potential impact on rhetoric and composition teaching, research, and practice. This award aims to recognize and foster scholarly promise in the field. --- ## Due Dates - October 2026 (anticipated application deadline) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - Four scholarships awarded annually - Each recipient receives $750 to support attendance at the CCCC annual conference If the conference shifts to an online-only format, recipients will receive complimentary registration instead of travel funds. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be full-time graduate students. - Only those whose presentations were accepted through the regular peer review process for the CCCC annual conference are eligible. - Application must include verification of full-time graduate student status and a copy of the accepted conference proposal. --- ## Application Process Applicants must submit the following as a single PDF attachment, in order: 1. A one-page letter of application introducing yourself, verifying full-time graduate student status, and articulating your career plans in composition studies. 2. A full copy of your accepted CCCC program proposal (not the acceptance letter), indicating your contribution. 3. A brief CV (not more than one page).
