    Description

The Champlain Hudson Environmental Trust (CHET), administered by the Hudson River Foundation, was established as part of New York State’s approval of the Champlain Hudson Power Express transmission project. The Trust will develop and implement research and projects designed to protect, restore, and improve aquatic habitats and fisheries resources in the water bodies associated with that approval.

CHET is a distinct program within the Foundation’s broader portfolio of scientific research, public access, education, stewardship, restoration, and citizen science activities. Its particular focus is aquatic habitats and fisheries, connecting research with projects directed toward their protection, restoration, and improvement.
