Medical Research UK’s Changing Policy and Practice Award helps researchers share specific medical research findings beyond academic journals. It supports targeted activities reaching patients, healthcare professionals, policymakers and communities who can use or act on the evidence. Applications are welcome across all areas of medical research, with clearly defined audiences outside the scientific press and potential to influence healthcare policy, inform practice, improve decision-making or change behaviours and attitudes affecting health outcomes.
The programme is run by Medical Research UK, the independent charity of the MRC, and co-funded with the MRC and Moorfields Eye Charity. This round is supported by the Fleming Memorial Fund for Medical Research. Renewal awards build on existing dissemination programmes to extend their impact, develop long-term sustainability or reach a defined milestone after which award support is no longer necessary.
