Becton Dickinson (BD) makes charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations and foundations for programs that address unmet healthcare needs, improve access to care, and strengthen health systems’ capacity to care for all patients, especially the most vulnerable. Requests must align with BD’s mission, values, therapeutic areas, and strategic objectives. Its policy also permits support for charitable nonprofits focused on quality of life in underserved communities, including education, youth development, and food or housing insecurity.
Most of BD’s philanthropic funding is allocated through an annual budgeting process, primarily to existing programs led by current nonprofit partners.
