--- ## Description The Charles M. Tipton Student Research Award is designed to honor two students each year for the most outstanding research projects in exercise science. Recipients are selected based on the quality of their research and their involvement in the project. The award aims to encourage and support exceptional student contributions to the field of exercise science, with recipients recognized at the ACSM Annual Meeting. --- ## Due Dates - March 2027 (anticipated/projected submission deadline for the Charles M. Tipton Student Research Award) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - $2,000 per recipient - Two awards are given annually --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be ACSM national members in good standing prior to applying (chapter membership alone is not sufficient). - Open to graduate and medical students enrolled full-time in basic or clinical exercise science or sports medicine, and recent graduates (within one year of the application date) submitting research completed before graduation. - Applicants must be the first author and presenter of an abstract on exercise science accepted at the ACSM Annual Meeting. - The research must have been completed for academic credit toward a graduate or medical degree. - Previous recipients of the Charles M.
