Charlotte Huck Award for Outstanding Fiction for Children

This grant was recently updated

Plan around an anticipated September 2027 nomination deadline rather than September 15, 2026, and check the program page for a confirmed date. Review the expanded submission checklist before nominating; nonmembers can email bookawards@ncte.org with book and publisher details, with no other forms required. Because the eligibility text refers to publication in the preceding year but the member form requests the current calendar year, confirm your book’s eligible cycle with NCTE.
