AMS China Exchange Program – Travel Grants supports mathematical scientists’ research visits between the U.S. or Canada and China to exchange ideas and build long-term international research collaborations.

Description
The American Mathematical Society’s China Exchange Program, supported by the Ky and Yu-Fen Fan Fund, funds visits that advance collaborative research in the mathematical sciences. It supports mathematical scientists at U.S. or Canadian institutions visiting research colleagues in China, and mathematical scientists from China visiting colleagues at U.S. or Canadian institutions.
The program promotes direct research collaboration, the exchange of mathematical ideas, and long-term international research relationships. Visits may involve joint research, collaborative projects, seminars, or workshops, but conference attendance is not the primary objective. Virtual collaborations will also be considered. Selection preferences favor eminent U.S. or Canadian mathematicians whose visits will benefit China’s mathematical research community, and Chinese scientists in the beginning stages of their research careers.
