Description
This program, administered by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS), aims to connect Iowa K-12 public and private schools with local farmers and food businesses. The grant funds are used exclusively for purchasing locally grown, minimally processed foods from Choose Iowa members for use in school meal programs. Each participating school district is assigned a Food Hub Sponsor to help with grant requirements, procurement, and payment processes.
