Description
The Christopher Emmet Hallowell Fund is an endowment administered by Adirondack Foundation to help families and individuals caring for severely ill children and young adults. It provides financial assistance for incidental and unexpected non-medical expenses, including travel and accommodations, that can accumulate during a health crisis. The assistance helps family members remain present and provide continuous love and support.
Established in 2005 by Christopher’s friends and family, the fund honors his belief that family support sustained his resolve and quality of life during a lifelong battle with leukemia. It focuses on helping families in Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties overcome financial burdens associated with being there for a young person during severe illness, rather than paying for medical treatment.
