Description
The Ciena Teaching Grant, administered by the AFCEA Educational Foundation and sponsored by Ciena, supports classroom teachers implementing innovative and engaging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs. Grants fund materials and resources for STEM programs and activities, including software and hardware, to promote student learning and digital equality. Innovative distance and virtual learning projects are also considered.
The program serves K–12 STEM teachers in the United States and at DoDEA schools. Schools with high economic need receive priority consideration. Ciena also seeks opportunities for its employee volunteers to participate in supported projects, programs, and culminating activities, connecting classroom learning with its community outreach efforts.
