Description
The Ciena Teaching Grant, administered by the AFCEA Educational Foundation, is designed to empower K-12 classroom teachers to implement innovative and engaging STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs, activities, and technology. The grant focuses on promoting digital equality and enhancing learning opportunities, especially in schools with high economic need. Funding may be used for materials, resources, and technology to support both in-person and virtual STEM initiatives. Proposals that include opportunities for Ciena employee volunteers to participate in classroom or extracurricular activities are encouraged.
