    Description

Established in 1982 by the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), the Honorary Fellows Award recognizes senior members whose lifelong service has advanced comparative and international education qualitatively and significantly. It honors scholars who have made especially marked contributions to the field’s growth through scholarship, teaching, research, and technical service.

The award recognizes contributions across scholarly research and publication; teaching and mentoring; and policy, planning, evaluation, technical assistance, and administration. Candidates must also have contributed significantly to the development and quality of CIES itself. The CIES Awards Committee considers nominations, the Board of Directors confirms selections, and the honor is presented at the CIES Annual Meeting.
