Description
The City Connecting Link Improvement Program (CCLIP) provides federal and state funding to Kansas cities for the enhancement of City Connecting Links—city streets with state highway designations. Administered by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), CCLIP supports projects in three categories:
- Surface Preservation (SP): Maintenance and surface life extension (e.g., overlays, patching).
- Pavement Restoration (PR): Extensive repairs, such as full-depth pavement replacement.
- Geometric Improvement (GI): Safety and operational upgrades, including intersection improvements and lane additions.
The program aims to help cities maintain and upgrade critical transportation corridors, excluding those on the Interstate or fully controlled Freeway Systems.
