--- ## Description This program provides financial assistance to property owners in the City of Rockville, Maryland, who have installed flood mitigation measures to protect their properties from future flood damage. Through a partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Trust, the program offers matching reimbursement funds for a wide range of approved practices, including permanent and temporary barriers, sump pumps, drainage improvements, utility elevation, flood alert systems, and more. The goal is to increase community resilience to flooding by incentivizing property-level improvements. --- ## Due Dates - Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. - Funding is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until annual funds are exhausted. --- ## Funding Amount - The program reimburses up to 50% of the total eligible project costs, up to a maximum of $5,000 per property (lifetime cap). - Eligible expenses must have been incurred on or after July 1, 2019. - The program is funded annually; availability may vary by fiscal year. --- ## Eligibility - **Applicant:** Must be the property owner. Renters may apply only with documented approval from the property owner. For associations (HOA/Condo), applications must be for commonly owned areas, not individual units. - **Property Location:** Project must be within the incorporated City of Rockville, Maryland.
