Description
The Chesapeake Bay Trust partners with the City of Rockville to offer rebates for small-scale stormwater projects on eligible private properties. The program aims to reduce runoff and pollution, improve local stream and river health, and help address drainage and flooding.
Eight practices qualify: rain barrels, cisterns, rain gardens, native tree planting, pavement removal, permeable pavers, conservation landscaping, and green roofs. These projects collect rainwater, help it soak into the ground, or reduce impervious surfaces. Landscaping and trees can also provide shade and wildlife habitat.
