This grant, established in recognition of Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, supports research that advances understanding of the historical and contemporary relationships between Indigenous and Ukrainian communities in Canada. The Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies (CIUS) aims to foster academic and community-based inquiry into the social, cultural, and historical dynamics of these interactions, encouraging projects that contribute to reconciliation, mutual respect, and shared knowledge.
