Description
The Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies (CIUS) Research Grants are designed to encourage and support independent research on Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Canadian topics. Grants are available for projects in the humanities, social sciences, law, education, and library sciences. The program includes opportunities for junior and senior research grants, fellowships, support for scholarly publications, and conferences. There is a special emphasis on supporting applicants from Ukraine, particularly those from Chernivtsi National University, though scholars from other institutions are also eligible.
The grants are intended to defray the actual direct costs of research projects, not for overhead or personal income. Funding is not available for research that is part of a degree or course requirement, nor for publication subsidies.
