The Claims Conference supports Holocaust films at the development, production and post-production stages. The program encompasses narrative and documentary filmmaking and requires a victim-centered approach. It prioritizes films with wide distribution potential and/or educational value, considering project content, objectives and artistic vision alongside plans for completing and distributing the work.
Films across genres are evaluated for historical accuracy, creativity, vision and planning. Applicants should present plans for both educational and non-educational distribution. Historical consultants are strongly encouraged throughout development and production, with consultation costs included in project budgets. Applicants may request support for only one project phase per application.
