The Class of 1957 Division I & II Summer Research Fellowship supports Williams faculty and students working together on faculty-led research to advance projects and give students meaningful research experience.

Description
Primarily funded by a gift from the Class of 1957, this Williams College program supports summer research collaboration between Division I and II faculty and students. Students work as full-time research assistants on faculty members’ projects, spending substantial, regularly scheduled time together on campus. The program aims to advance faculty research while giving students authentic involvement in the work and fostering a vibrant summer research environment.
Projects must give students a meaningful research role that enhances their learning. Work consisting primarily of clerical or background tasks is not funded. Participating students submit a one-page report at the end of the summer for an annual report to the Class of 1957.
