Description
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) funds paid internships at Massachusetts clean energy and water innovation companies to prepare the next generation of clean energy workers. Employers receive reimbursement for providing supervised workplace experience to eligible college students, vocational-technical high school students, training or certification participants, and recent graduates. Internship work must substantively support climatetech goods, services, or research.
The program aims to build a robust, diverse, and equitable talent pipeline for decarbonization and climate solutions. Reserved placements support Massachusetts Gateway Cities and Construction, Installation, and Maintenance (CIM) occupations across high-performance buildings, offshore wind, the net zero grid, and clean transportation. CIM placements connect colleges, vocational schools, After Dark programs, and Career Technical Initiative programs with hands-on employment throughout the academic year and into summer.
